Lars ulrich hi hat sound a like???? and something wrong with my hi hat .. need help?

does anyone know how he gets that like losse hit hat sound???? if you watch him live you see his hi hat loose.. well now to my hi hat.. when its open and you close it and you keep playing all of a sudden the hit hat wont open again... idn how to fix this you have to keep on tightening the thing.. but like after hitting it a couple times it does this... how do i fix this???
