New proposoal for Israeli/pali conflict?

I see the problem is mainly that the Palestinians are very hostile towards the Israeli's. They already had the opportunity to become 2 seperate states , but the Pali's didn't want to. Even if they would agree these days with becoming a seperate Palestinian state, the problem would remain, because if they really want to become a state on their own, they simply would have done so already. So Israel needs to keep defending itself. Therefore, I think there needs to become some sort of reunion, but at the same time keep each other's individual identity, since they are both stubborn people. The feel for unity is necessary to keep the peace, the individual identity, because they are both nationalistic and proud of own identity. So my proposal: is reunite the two states in one, we could call: (the united states of) Canaan. Make sure that the Palestinian state of Canaan learns how to govern itself without using violence. In the 2 states, all religions should be welcome.
