Sensory issues, autism, or normal toddler behavior?
It sounds like sensory issues. And yes, the speech delay may be connected to the sensory issues. How they would help him is you would take him to therapy, and they would do activities to help him with the sensory issues. They would also give you tips on things you can do at home. You can have an evaluation done by an occupational therapist. They will tell you if they suspect he has sensory issues or if he's "normal." Most kids grow out of it. They still tend to have some symptoms, but not as intense and when they were children.
