Help!! Lawn mower won't start and gr keeps growing!!?

I have a one year old Toro mulching mower. I took it out of the garage. Filled with gas. Checked the oil. Primmed it and pulled the cord. Nothing. It does not even sound like it wants to start. I have tried for the past couple of days and I get nothing. I really appreciate any help you can give me. I really need to cut my gr before my yard turns into a jungle.
