Christians: What does the Bible say specifically about confessing your sins to one another?
You must know by the Holy Spirit who you can confess your sins to; but most importantly, confess them to God, because He already knows them. 1 John 1:9 says if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. James 5:16 says to confess your faults one to another ( and this is referring to other Christian brothers/sisters, not the unsaved ); and to pray one for another, that you may be healed. Your healing and deliverance from a particular sin and stronghold is more important than what others think of you, and real Christians are filled with the love of God, and should not judge or condemn you, but restore you and be a blessing to you. Remember, it is important for you to enjoy the life Jesus died for you to have, so be open to God, and others that you trust who are Christians; and allow the love of God to deliver and heal you. Romans 10:8-10 is how anyone can be born again.
