Chilli con carne evaluation?

A well made chili con carne looks, smells and tastes like heaven in a bowl. The brownish-red concoction should give off a sweet/pungent smell which comes from the combination of the spices chili and in blended with caramelized onion and garlic. Little specs of green and red foretell tasty excursions into the land of peppers and tomatoes. Then there's the little protein nuggets known as kidney beans lending their weight to a hearty meal. Imagine a crisp fall day with a slight breeze augmented by a bowl of chili con carne and you have truly found nirvana.
